Church History:

Organized as a mission in the Fall of 1942, Cameron became a church in its own right on June 7, 1948, and has met at its present location at 26th and C Avenue since that time. In fifty years the church had only six pastors, and has grown steadily to meet the changing needs of its very diverse congregation. Bob Jones has been pastor since 1980.

Statement from the Pastor:

A church means many different things to people. Some see it as a building. Others see it only as an organization. To some it is only a series of special programs. In simplest terms, Cameron Baptist is a relationship. That relationship is not to a building, an organization or a program. It is to a person, and that person is Jesus Christ. You are important to us because you are important to Him. We invite you to come and experience "a church that cares."

Special Programs and Events:

Cameron Baptist's worship services offer  contemporary and traditional styles of worship. Special worship services for students and children are offered each Sunday morning. Dynamic Biblical preaching is central to each service. Bible study classes for all ages meet weekly, as do missions education and activities for children. Cameron offers a full program of ministry and activities for children, students, single adults, married adults and senior adults. Dicipleship classes are offered including topical studies such as Divorce Care and ongoing Married, Single Parent and Family Ministries. Cameron's Music and Worship Ministry includes full choir programs for children, students and adults, ensembles and full orchestra. The Family Life Center provides recreation opportunities for all ages. Special events throughout the year include Dinner Theatre program, student and children's camps each summer, and a variety of ongoing programs.
