Think about “THE GREATEST EXPRESSION OF LOVE” mankind has ever witnessed and been exposed too. The giving of God’s Son to suffer our spiritual death on the cross. There is perhaps no other verse that captures this extreme expression of love like we discover in John 3:16! Perhaps one of the best known verses in all of Scripture. We see it scribbled on walls in graffiti style; we see it on bill boards; we see it in the end zone of Football games and other athletic events; it is often quoted by believers and non-believers alike. It seems to be the one singular thing that most people know about God —that He is a God of love. Yes, it is well known. Some call it “the gospel in a nutshell”.
